Utku INAN
Metallurgy and Mat. Eng. M.Sc.
After graduating from Sakarya University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering in 2001, he started his master's program at Istanbul Technical University, Institute of Science in the same year and graduated in 2005.
He started working at Tamçelik Heat Treatment in 2002 and, after holding various positions, became the company's General Coordinator. In 2021, when Tamçelik Heat Treatment changed its name to Alpha Metallurgy, he was appointed Deputy General Manager.
In 2008, he served as a founding board member of the Metal Heat Treatment Manufacturers Association (MISAD). He held various positions, including vice-chairmanship, on a total of five different boards. Utku İnan is also a member of the Turkish Additive Manufacturing Association (TAMA).
From 2014 to 2018, he taught the "Thermal Processes of Materials" course as a visiting lecturer in the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering at Marmara University Faculty of Engineering.
In February 2020, it received the title of Lead Auditor for the AS9100D quality management system for aviation, aerospace, and defense companies.
In 2020, I jointly taught the heat treatment and coatings section of the APS-523 "AeroEngine Materials Processes" course, which is part of the Applied Propulsion System Design Engineering (English) Master's Program in Aviation and Space Technologies, established through a collaboration between Gebze Technical University (GTU) and TUSAŞ Engine Industry (TEI), together with TEI experts.
He served as a member of the Science and Organization Committee at the BHTS (Bosphorus International Heat Treatment Symposium) events held in Istanbul in 2022, 2024, and 2026.
Since January 2022, he has been a member of the "Materials and Material Shaping" committee of the Defence, Aerospace and Space Cluster Association (SAHA Istanbul).
He has been a member of the executive board since April 2022 at TMMOB Chamber of Metallurgical and Materials Engineers Training Center (METEM)
He was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the MISAD Board of Directors as of June 2025.
