AVIATION

In the aircraft industry, super alloys, titanium and stainless steels that make up engine parts undergo heat treatment.

11 percent of global heat treatment activities take place in the aviation, space and defense sector. Metals used in the production of aviation engines, landing gear and structural parts require special heat treatments.

Copper-nickel alloys used in landing gear are also hardened.

The strength of aluminum alloys, nickel, cobalt and iron super alloys , titanium, stainless steels, copper and magnesium alloys used in aviation is brought to the level required by aviation standards through many different heat treatments.
